Product Description
The Model CY-T108-A horizontal fiber optic splice closure 96 cores is one of the main equipment for user access points, applied for protective connection and distribution between two or more cables. The primary function is to connect distribution cable and indoor cable in the open air. It’s widely used in communication systems, cable TV, optical cable network systems and others by virtue of steady structure, good sealing performance and easy construction. The mechanical structure is reliable and has the performance of resisting wild environment and intensive climate changes and serious working environment. The splice trays( FOST) inside the closure are turn-able like booklets, and have adequate curvature radius and space for winding optical fiber to make sure the curvature radius for optical winding 40 mm. Each optical cable and fiber can be operated individually. The product can be opened again and reused after installation.

Made from high-quality engineering plastics, the closure offers excellent resistance to corrosion, UV radiation, and extreme weather conditions, ensuring long-term reliability.
Equipped with a reliable sealing mechanism, it provides an IP68 rating, making it fully waterproof and dustproof, suitable for both aerial and underground installations.
Designed to accommodate multiple fiber optic cables and splices, it supports a wide range of fiber counts, making it adaptable to different network requirements.
The dome-shaped design and modular internal structure allow for quick and straightforward installation, reducing deployment time and labor costs.
The closure can be easily reopened for maintenance, upgrades, or additional splicing, ensuring flexibility and convenience during its lifecycle.
Internal organizers and splice trays provide efficient cable routing and secure fiber management, minimizing the risk of damage and signal loss.
The robust design ensures resistance to physical impacts and environmental stress, making it suitable for harsh outdoor conditions.
The closure operates reliably across a wide temperature range, ensuring stable performance in both hot and cold climates.
Despite its durability, the closure is lightweight and compact, making it easy to transport and install in various settings.
The product meets international standards for fiber optic closures, ensuring compatibility and reliability in global applications.
These features make the Dome Fiber Optic Splice Closure an ideal choice for protecting fiber optic networks in telecommunications, CATV, and other data transmission systems.
Before installation, inspect the dome fiber optic splice closure to ensure it is free from damage and all necessary components (e.g., seals, gaskets, cable ports) are included.
Prepare the necessary tools, such as cable cutters, stripping tools, cleaning supplies, and a torque wrench (if required).
Determine the entry and exit points for the fiber optic cables and ensure the closure is positioned correctly.
Carefully strip the outer jacket of the fiber optic cable to expose the fibers and strength members. Ensure the length of the stripped section matches the closure's requirements.
Clean the exposed fibers using lint-free wipes and isopropyl alcohol to remove any contaminants.
Trim the fibers to the appropriate length, leaving enough slack for splicing and future maintenance.
Mount the base of the dome splice closure to a stable structure (e.g., pole, wall, or rack) using appropriate hardware. Ensure it is level and securely fastened.
Feed the prepared cables through the cable ports on the base. Use sealing grommets or gel seals to ensure a watertight and dust proof seal around the cables.
Perform fusion splicing or mechanical splicing of the fiber optic cables. Protect the splices with splice sleeves or protectors.
Place the spliced fibers into the splice trays or organizers inside the closure. Arrange them neatly to avoid bending or stress on the fibers.
Close and secure the splice trays, ensuring they are properly seated and locked in place.
Before closing, inspect all seals and gaskets to ensure they are clean and properly positioned.
Place the dome cover over the base and align it correctly. Secure the dome using the provided clamps or screws.
Use a torque wrench (if specified) to tighten the fasteners evenly, ensuring a proper seal without over-tightening.
Perform a pressure or vacuum test (if applicable) to verify the closure is properly sealed and waterproof.
Label the closure with relevant information, such as cable IDs, installation date, and contact details.
Record details of the installation, including cable routing, splice locations, and test results.
Conduct optical testing (e.g., OTDR or power meter tests) to ensure the splices and connections meet performance standards.
Ensure the installation site is clean and secure, with no loose cables or debris.
By following these steps, the dome fiber optic splice closure will be properly installed, providing reliable protection and organization for the fiber optic network.
